LinerGame celebrates Lars Jensen being awarded the 2026 Person of the Year by the New York–New Jersey Foreign Freight Forwarders & Brokers Association, recognising his long-standing contribution to the global container shipping industry.

The award recognises leaders whose work has materially advanced global trade, logistics and transportation by helping the industry make better‑informed decisions, adapt to disruption, and build more resilient supply chains for the long term.

As LinerGame Director, CEO of Vespucci Maritime, and a leading industry analyst, Lars brings more than two decades of liner shipping experience into every LinerGame session. Lars artfully guides participants through realistic scenarios, from market intelligence and network design to e‑commerce and disruption management, to mirror the decisions operators, planners, and commercial teams face every day.

“In the container shipping sector today, the variables have multiplied. From geopolitics and regulation to capacity swings and customer expectations,” says Lars.

“Awards like this are an honour, but they also highlight a simple truth: our industry cannot rely on learning the hard way. We need training that reflects real‑world complexity and helps people build judgment before the pressure is on.”

The award will be presented at the 108th Annual Dinner Gala in New York City on February 5, 2026.

Preparing teams for the complex container shipping world

In a world that is becoming more complex, and where container shipping is more intricate than ever, this recognition underscores how important it is for industry decision‑makers to have access to practical insight and training that reflect today’s realities.

LinerGame’s Strategic Advisor and Educator Peter Creeden adds: “Lars has spent his career helping the industry understand what’s coming next. Having that level of experience in the room means our simulations are grounded in reality, not theory. It’s why LinerGame resonates so strongly right now. It gives teams a safe space to practice tough calls, understand trade‑offs, and leave better prepared for the volatility they’re already experiencing in their day‑to‑day work.

If your team is navigating this complexity, LinerGame offers a practical, low‑risk way to build confidence, alignment, and better decisions before they play out in the real world.
